I am very interested in the ThinkQuest competition from the Oracle Education Foundation. It sounds like a great way to collaborate with students across the world in a meaningful way.

A question and a request:

Has anyone ever participated before? How did it go?

If you are a teacher from a country outside of the US and are interested in possibly forming a team with some of my students and me, please let me know. I teach fourth graders, so I would register in the 9-12 age group. Teams are made of up to six students, so it could be three of my students and three of yours.

Check out the rules on the website and get back to me.

Mark,

This looks very interesting. I teach computer applications at a middle school in Tucson, Arizona. I have not participated or know anything about this competition. I'm wondering how much time the winning coaches put in to help kids make a winning web site.

My students are between 13 and 15, so it looks like I can't help you. If you do form a team please let me know how it goes.

Thanks.
