I'm pushing a pilot project in my board that will try out hybrid course delivery in high school. That is, courses that are neither fully online nor entirely classroom based. I'm imagining that certain modules will be delivered online, supplemented with small-group or one-on-one time with a teacher. I believe that in almost any subject, some material is beneficially delivered online and some not.
Is anyone aware of any schools currently offering such a model? Any research on this model? Any research that addresses, not just online vs. traditional courses, but the types of material that are best delivered one way or the other?
Thanks,
