Check out this infographic on how educational games have progressed since the days of Carmen San Diego and Reader Rabbit. How do you think gamification has changed the way educators approach teaching? http://knewt.ly/S5ifwE

When I was little I loved playing the Reader Rabbit games, and all sorts of other games like that.  I find that this new type of learning in the classroom interesting.  In some classes that I have seen, the teachers have applied the Jeopardy game to their reviews before a test, and I can tell you that the students hadn't studied any harder than before that review.  They all wanted to win the game, so they studied all the questions to try to get all the review questions right.  Other than that, I haven't seen too much gamification in the classroom.  It's an interesting topic to think about though.
