Everyone says that strategy games can useful in learning social studies. But where is the alignment between gaming experiences and Core Curriculum Standards?
I have ventured into the process of making such an alignment.
Recently, I tried to connect game, Civilization IV, with the Iowa Core Curriculum. Amazingly, it happened to fit almost every goal and benchmark.
I need your help. Please review my alignment and tell me if I am on track or not.
Don't be nice. Tell me what you think. I welcome any criticism so that we can share this with the world . . . or at least Iowa.
Thank you for your time!!!

Tyler,
You should talk with Zack Gilbert of the EdReach: EdGamer Podcast. http://edreach.us/author/zgilbert/.
He teaches in Illinois and has done similar work with Civ 4 in his school. He might offer some insights.
