Interactive Projectors

I recently read, and blogged, about Epson's new Brightlink interactive projectors. Basically it sounds like Epson's shot at removing the whiteboard from a traditional interactive whiteboard, so I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on this or not? Epson say that they are likely to save schools money if they adopt these $2000 projectors, but I think the jury is still out on their functionality. Either way, it sounds like an interesting technological advancement. The product page is here. Thoughts?
