Hi.  I am a certified elementary school teacher.  I taught for four years in Connecticut before moving to Georgia with my husband, who is an active duty Army officer.  Currently, I am substitute teaching in a town outside of the base, which isn't too desirable, however, it gives me LOTS of extra time, with which I have decided to work on my Master's degree.

I have decided to get my Master's in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction.  Although I love to physically be in a classroom, that style of learning is not conducive to the military lifestyle my family is living.  Therefore, it has to be an online program.  My number one choice of programs is Ashford University.  The actual campus is located in Iowa, although my program is completely online.  The school has the highest accreditation - it is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and they offer some really great deals for military families.  I was able to "tour" the classroom and everything exactly how I would experience it as a student and I am really excited to get started.

The only thing holding me back from paying the application fee and enrolling is that I don't know anyone who has gone through this program.  If anyone out there has, or knows someone who is affiliated with Ashford University, I would love to hear back from you!

I appreciate it!
