Google Earth's Tour feature allows anyone to create virtual tours and share them
One can guide the tour using the software or export them as narrated video. Here's an example: continents and oceans. Also useful is the ability to share tours in native files, which means smaller files and full control of tours. Here's an example: 3D Castles

Questions:
  1. Is this a good way to teach geography?
  2. And what are some possible applications and/or ways to make this bette?

Peace,
Mr. H

Absolutley ,I use this way in my class too.
Cool. Thanks for replying. Question: Do you find yourself using this as a presentation tool, or do you create tours for students to follow on their own computers? I appreciate any tips you can share. -Mr. H

I think this is an awesome idea. I could see this as attention grabbing for younger kids. Also, I would use this to teach history so students could see the area that is being discussed.
