I somewhat disagree with yours because you said that "Jems way is terrible way to put thing" and I don't believe that because that's what Jem thinks and I know its wrong but that's what he believes because of how old he is. Also when scout said that there are only one kind of folks. Folks, and then Jem replies and said that when he was her age he agreed with that but now he doesn't think that because if there is only one kind of folk then why do they hate/fight on each other. Then he said…

Then he said that maybe Boo Radley stays inside because he wants too and jem said that because he was trying to say that boo doesn't want to deal with all that hate and negativity and would rather stay inside and not worry about it. I also agree with you because you said that you agree with Scout and that's what everyone wants- a better world so people would get along better/more.
I kind of kind of agree with…tag:www.classroom20.com,2017-05-08:649749:Comment:11468052017-05-08T03:39:21.104ZTurbo 9Ahttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/Turbo

I kind of kind of agree with you because when Jem said that their are four different kind of people he said that because it was after the trail and now he seen on how Maycomb works its based on the color of skin and/or different race because of the racists people so that's why Jem would say that. Also when Aunt Alexandra says that the Cunningham's are the wrong class then Jem realized that there are different kind of people its because of what he hears and sees. Also when scout there are…

Folks I think she said that because she wants everybody to be equal and wants blacks and whites together so she can hang out with Walter more now I know that's not right but it maybe right. Also when scout said that there are only one find of folks folks., what Jem told her was then why cant we all get along now that is right because if we were all one then why cant we all be friends and eat together and get along with each other better?
I agree with you individual.…tag:www.classroom20.com,2017-05-08:649749:Comment:11468032017-05-08T03:20:06.040ZTurbo 9Ahttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/Turbo

I agree with you individual. that "there are only one kind of folks. Folks"(pg 304).I agree with you because we are all the same in many ways and we shouldn't look at the differences more because that affects us as humans because then we will start thinking different on people with different color of skin or race. But I can see why Jem would say their are four kind of folks because of what he's surrounded himself with and the because the hate that's been happening everyday in his life. Jem…

I somewhat agree/disagree with you on this point of view.

Jem is attempting to understand the prejudice he sees surrounding him. His division of people into four groups accounts for the hatred and discrimination he witnesses everyday. He still willingly believes that people are different, and can be categorized according to race or social class.

But Scout has a different viewpoint. Her hierarchy only has room for one group. She replies "Naw, Jem, I think there's just one kind…

But Scout has a different viewpoint. Her hierarchy only has room for one group. She replies "Naw, Jem, I think there's just one kind of folks. Folks". This reveals her own understanding of the world around her. She is not attempting to rationalize prejudice; she is merely accepting that it exists. This allows her to see that all people are one, no matter their background. But Jem doesn't agree with this because he has a different mindset from Scout. It is okay for people to have opinions but those don't exist in reality, alot of people will hate on forever so we can't really do anything for that except changing their mindsets.
I also agree with you.

I also agree with you.

Scout thinks that people are just people no matter the color. This view of the world is simplified, but true. No matter what race, sex, religion or social standing we have, people will always be just people. Scout sees the flaws in humankind as a whole and Jem has grown enough to realize the social strata that surrounds him. However, Scout's answer troubles Jem because if she is right, the world makes no sense at all. Basically everybody should be treated…

I agree with you,

Although, I see where you're coming from but Jem is worried by Scout response, because it basically means that there's no logical reason for discrimination based on race or class. This contrasts with his view of the world as a logical place. That is why he is so upset at the end of Tom's trial: Logically, Tom should be found not guilty. Jem is very sensitive to how people treat each other, & his connection to Boo Radley shows that he understands more every…

Jem is very sensitive to how people treat each other, & his connection to Boo Radley shows that he understands more every day. Jem does not agree with Scout for that reason. He is just afraid and sensitive to how people are treated with eachother and makes him wonder why there are four kinds of folks.
I agree with you Bruh because…tag:www.classroom20.com,2017-05-08:649749:Comment:11465612017-05-08T02:30:41.625ZSweetHoney 9Ahttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/SweetHoney

I agree with you Bruh because even though we have different personality traits we are all still the same no matter what. Were all Humans and there is nothing that makes us different from each other. like when scout says " Theres only 1 type of people" shes right because were all same.

i agree with you zain ,its not the color of your skin , how wealthy you are ,or if your ugly, beautiful ,or nice ,its your character that really matters. for example boo or Arthur radley gave scout a blanket when the house across the radley place went in to flames , the point is they thought he was some ugly monster who hunts children and he turned out to be ice and friendly.boo protected them from Mr ewell when they were attacked he stabbed bob in the gut because he cared about the kids and…

I disagree with you simply because Jems view on folks is not a 'terrible way' as you provided in your explanation because all Jem was trying to say is that people don't treat others equally and try to bring each other down in the best way possible and that they don't count each other as the same because of the way they live, or the color of their skin, however Jem also brought up a point where he says, "theres four kinds of folks in the world. theres the ordinary kinds like us and the…

(Lee 302) what Jem said here is something I clearly disagree with because mostly he's talking about the way people live and then brought up the negroes. everyone can be different In ways other than the way someone lives and the color of their skin, but they're still counted as that one kind of folk, they're all human. you can only label someone by their character and not by their looks or the way they live.
I agree with you, Scout views…tag:www.classroom20.com,2017-05-07:649749:Comment:11466032017-05-07T18:58:38.367ZAcantha 9Ahttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/Acantha

I agree with you, Scout views people all the same, and that they're no different than each other but if you think about it, Jem also has a point when he says "why can't they get along with each other? if they're alike, why do they get out of their way to despise each other?" (Lee 304) its like a competition for everyone to hate on each other and bring others down, Jem is clearly disgusted by everyone and how they treat each other and thats why he doesn't count them as one kind of folks,…
