A timely discussion for me, Karen. As I looked around the room yesterday in the grade 2/3 class I realized that I had failed to engage one boy in the group activity that seemed to inspire most of the students. I knew that he was missing the opportunity to learn. Now I'm wondering how I can make a connection with him and how I can recognize his strengths in a very visual and authentic way.
