Hello all, I have recently fallen in love with web 2.0 and started a web 2.0 site of my own on wetpaint http://esltwopointoresources.wetpaint.com/ were I have made pages for some of the stuff I am doing. You have to become a member to view it, but you can leave if you are not interested. However, I also want to participate in this board. Our department is not using web 2.0 materials yet, but I am planning a large launch for the fall. For each of our class I have identified a few 2.0 materials to supplement each course. For example our reading and vocab class we are going to use goodreads. I will make sure to keep you up to date on what we are doing.

Dear Mackenzie,

Welcome to Classroom 2.0!

You won't believe the depth of knowledge and generosity of the folks here... and it seems like you'll fit right in.

Have you seen PBwiki's directory of educational wiki's? Might give you some additional ideas. (I'm less familiar w/ wetpaint than I am PBwiki, but I'm sure any ideas would be pretty transferrable.)

And of course you've already figured out the helpfulness of the esl tag.

Anyway, welcome again and yes, please do keep us posted on your work.
Mackenzie,

Welcome and any effort to "get the message" out there, is welcomed. Lots of stimulating stuff here and there and everywhere online in SNing. We've been one of the forerunners in 2nd language online learning and take a look when you get a chance at our resources. Steal whatever you like. Spread the knowledge....... the time is now. I could list hundreds of things I've developed for ESL / EFL students but for the moment, talk to DAVE. He'll entertain you.

I just stumbled upon a great web 2.0 language translator, great for esl students.
