Welcome to our NEW Voicethread for Educators Group!  Please take a minute to say hi, what you teach, ideas for this group, maybe a VT or two, and of course, your Twitter/Plurk other Social Networking site handle that you may use.
Good luck and once again welcome.

I'm a middle school language arts teacher on sabbatical and teaching at the University of South Florida (and hoping to finish my dissertation soon). I'm going away for a conference and would like to use VT to have my grad students engage in discussions during the week we won't be meeting face to face. Students take turns creating presentations on a chapter in the book and engage the class in a discussion. I'm hoping VT will allow us to do that in a virtual world. I'm new to VT -- any suggestions about making this happen would be greatly appreciated.
Hi my name is Jay, I am originally from Vancouver, Canada but now call Melbourne, Australia home. I am currently a grade 1 teacher at an international school in Bandung Indonesia. I have used VT with grade 1 to tell strories and share research. We have also used VT in our Moodle. I am looking to collaborate with like minded lower ES teachers who want to use technology.

Hi! My name is Heidi MacGregor and I teach 4th grade at a public school in Massachusetts. I have been using VoiceThread with students for 4 years now, and I finally got a grant to purchase a 'single educator liscense'. I love having the freedom to create more than 3 VT's without having to delete one!

Hi! My name is Chelsey Kusek and I am an elementary art teacher in the North Kansas City School District.  I am very excited to learn ways to implement this technology in the elementary art setting.  I have explored the program, but would love ideas on how to make it work with elementary students. Thanks!

Hello My name is Cheryl Todd and I am a Campus Computing Specialist at Meredith College in Raleigh ,NC.

We started using VoiceThread last year as one of the tools we would support for our Blended Learning Summer Pilot Program.  I think it is a wonderful platform for collaboration and student e-portfolio development.
