Anyone use Google Apps Education Edition. I would like to form a network. Google Apps has changed our school I would highly recommend it.

Are there any Canadians out there using Discovery Education resources? Can you give me some feedback on what you do/do not like and about the availability in your province or district? We are not allowed to stream their stuff here in Surrey and I'm curious to know about others' experiences. Thanks.

Greetings from Buffalo NY, I know that's not in Canada, but this is the perfect group for what I'm trying to accomplish with my class of 5th graders. We are studying all about Canada and Canadian culture. As part of my unit my class is becoming "travel agents" in order to convince other classrooms to take a family vacation in various parts of Canada. I'm am hoping to connect, via Skype, with at least one classroom from each province/territory. I'm happy to say that I have one connection in Saskatchewan so far. Please contact me if this is something you would be interested in doing. Thanks again in advance!

Hello from Mississauga, Ontario!
I always thought it would be so good to have a Canada-special forum for Web 2.0 technologies. Even though the Internet is a universal concept, yet it is sometimes hard to translate some of the cool practices to our situation. It's so nice to be able to share ideas and learning with other Canadian teachers.

By the way, I am a technology teacher at a K-5 school and love every moment of it. To check out our students' podcasts, hear their lovely voices and see what their little hands can do, please visit http://corlissdesigns.edublogs.org/
I have also started some Web 2.0 sharing of ideas on http://edutechlatest.blogspot.com/.
Looking forward to collaborating with all of you!
And Happy Holidays!

I'm a parent by night and an IT consultant by day. I'm on co-chair of school council on one daughter's high school council and the other three daughters' public school. I've spearheaded parent collaborate on ning for our area schools http://schoolfinder.button.ca . It's a work in progress but it is starting to get traction.

Now to get the old fashioned library doors unlocked at the high school.
