Hi,
I'm in Fernie, BC. I teach IT to everyone from K-10, plus grade 8 SS.

Hi everybody and thanks for the invitation, Sue. I'm in Selkirk, on the north shore of Lake Erie.Just rain and residues of snow on north slopes. I had never heard of Cdn Blog Awards before either. Will take a look. Otherwise, party on!

Thanks for the invite Sue, and Happy Holidays to you! Amazing how much snow we are getting. I'm not sure where you are in Vancouver, but here in Coquitlam I shoveled about 2 feet of snow in 3 days!
Looking forward to skiing at Cypress next week!
I've never heard of the Canadian Blog Awards before. I visited the top 5 'Best Blogs' and was not exactly 'wowed'... To be honest I rarely distinguish a blog for being Canadian... I'm just happy to read good stuff no matter where it comes from:-)
Best wishes for a wonderful new year!

Did you know that the category of "Best Educational Blogger" was dropped from the Canadian Blog Awards this year because there weren't enough entries to make it an interesting category??? Come on, fellow Canucks (and I don't mean the hockey team!) -- come in out of the snow. Take off your mukluks and tuques. Fortify yourself with a double-double and a plate of Nanaimo bars. Put the u back in 'neighborhood' and let's see if we can't prove that the distance between us is not very far.

It's 5:30 am on the second day of Christmas Break and -13 in Vancouver, BC as I'm writing this, and I'm still more than a little frazzled from the term, but the sentiment is heartfelt. I have been looking for a way to connect with teachers and bloggers across Canada, and I hope you'll take a moment and join this group.
