content area reading strategies
I am teaching a graduate course, Reading in the Content Area, to teachers. I have preschool through HS Sped in the class. I am looking for great ideas, or websites you have used to help with content area reading in your classroom.

A good book to use with lesson plans included is Collaborative Strategies for Teaching Reading Comprehension by Judi Moreillon. Although aimed at school librarians, it is filled with good thoughts for teachers. I suggest that you think about teaching collaboration with the media specialist/librarian who often has training in this area, and is an overlooked resource for co-teaching.
