Hello Educators and Specialists

I'd like to introduce you to a new approach to staying informed across a multitude of interests. www.icurrent.com

But first let me mention that we are reaching out to this particular audience given that we've received feedback from so many educators about their success in using iCurrent in the classroom (for general online research, lessons in current affairs, media literacy, balanced views, and more).

It's popular because of its simple interface and that it takes only moments to get set up though this service was not originally designed for students or educators and is truly aimed at all news readers with a wide breadth of interests and a wish to choose the news that appears on their radar screen.

iCurrent.com is a web 2.0 information discovery tool with innovative filtering, that organizes and delivers trusted online news content into one centralized news page experience (plus mobile). CNET called it the "aggregator that works."

It's a personalized and participatory newspaper of sorts. You can use it be in the know and up to date on almost anything - a topic, event, trend, company, person, product, place, etc.

Hope you'll take a moment to give it a try.

If your experience is similar to others', you (and your students) will probably find that it's possible to read through much more news when it's filtered for relevancy and well-organized. And we read every message sent to feedback@icurrent.com!

Thank you,

Carlin

Greetings all,

I am a parent of two high school student, a former Science teacher and the developer of Quizinator.

Quizinator is a free online application designed for Teachers, Instructors, and Homeschoolers to create, manage, store, and print worksheets, studysheets, exams and quizzes.

This very useful resource allows teachers, instructors and parents to create a free account, individually add questions, with or without images, and their answers, group them by categories, and then as needed, select from your question library to build ad hoc quizzes, tests, worksheets etc for printing onto paper from the browser. Among many other features offered as core Quizinator functions, creating an answer key is one of the time-saving benefits that this simple web application provides.

With Quizinator, there is no need to move documents around with floppies or thumb drives, and you don't have to email them to yourself anymore either.

Use our customizable, drag and drop, question libraries to quickly create worksheets, studysheets, handouts, exams, quizzes, and more.

All work is automatically backed up every night. Security and Data Integrity are our main priorities. It's free to use for as long as you want.

You can visit our site at: http://www.quizinator.com.

Hi Everyone,

TenMarks Education has created TeacherZone (http://teacher.tenmarks.com), where teachers can access thousands of 3-5 minute instructional math videos mapped to state standards for grades 3 – 10, completely free.

Teachers can use the video lessons in their classes, embed as homework help, and share with other teachers, parents, and students.

Look forward to your feedback.

Join my google group if you have information or products to support parents teaching beginning readers. You can add a page to promote yourself and/or offer resources. This group is very new, but I'm hoping to connect parents to educators with helpful resources and knowledge to support them while teaching reading to their children. As a member, you can be involved and answer questions or start a discussion. Check out my group at
