Information on Gamification

There are two schools of thought on gamification of learning.  

  1. Some people refer to gamification as using actual games (existing or proprietary) in education.  This school of thought is referred to as Game-based learning.
  2. Most people consider gamification as merely the incorporation of game mechanics and principles into everyday learning activities.  This school of thought is most often called Gamification.
