Well, let's see. I have a Master's Degree in Art History, but after meandering through the corporate realm as a business writer, I took up teaching and fell in love with it. Started teaching Math but shifted into Tech Ed and am really at home. I do put my MA to use as a Humanities professor at Polk Community College's Lakeland Campus teaching an Intro class as well as an upper level Contemporary Humanities class.
I cannot begin to tell you the life change that I've experienced since stumbling across Moodle in my search for a way to deliver course content in a more dynamic and engaging manner. Since then, I've created a Netvibes home page, have included some useful RSS feeds onto my Contemporary Hum course website, and am actively getting my Moodle classes up and running. Oh, did I mention Flickr? Yeah, uploaded more than 1,000 pics yesterday. I've also stumbled onto Mr. Wegner's Teaching Generation Z blog as well as the one hosted by Dean Shareski - both filled with lot of great info!
There's probably a really cool Web 2.0-esque term for what I'm going through at the moment. Whatever it is, I'm a newly born standard bearer for Web 2.0!
I look forward to learning and sharing with you all.
