    Yay! Librarian! :)

Yay back! (isn't that an articulate response?)

I wish I'd had a picture of an otter. :)
  • Carolyn Foote

Any clue how to embed a video or photo? I could read the help screen. See my photostream for your otter picture in the meantime!

Carolyn, I saw your posting about Tom Friedman. Don't know if you are aware of it but MIT's Open Courseware has a one hour video of him delivering the crux of "The World Is Flat." You can watch it online here: http://mitworld.mit.edu/video/266/

    Carolyn,

Thanks for the substantial post on my page. I wanted to ask you for your permission to reprint it on my blog as a separate post all to itself. Would you be opposed?
  • Carolyn Foote

Patrick, that would be fine! I was concerned I had gone on a little too much about it. Glad it was useful!

Thanks for your ideas on my forum posting. It is great to get so many ideas.

Thanks so much for getting my class involved with Reading is Fundamental!! And for the support you and your staff give to the reluctant readers in my classes.

Thanks for inviting me to be your friend! I'm thinking a great deal about what will motivate my students who find reading difficult to read, knowing that the best way to find reading less difficult is to practice it. I think I need some high interest, short books to get their attention, and maybe just 4 or 5 titles that some of them could read and discuss together. What do you think?

Carolyn, I sent you a comment already but, am trying it this way now. Thanks for contacting me. Have a great week at your conference. Kathy L

I enjoy your photos and wonder if you would submit some to the Flick group Reinventing PBL. I really like 4036945.jpg of/by mirror girl.
