Hello Hans
Thanks for your greetings.
I'm trying to focus my work on visual learning and social networks (Web 2.0). I will check your sites soon
I have a daughter studying chemistry at Konstanz University and my son will go soon to a small town near Stuttgart for work at European Galileo Project (he is aeronautic engineer) . Our family have very good feelings with German people.
Let's keep in touch

I encourage you to visit http://tutormentor.blogspot.com to see how I'm using visualization to build a network of people in Chicago and around the world who focus their efforts on helping kids living in poverty. You'll see examples of work done by students, which illustrates ways that people teaching information visualization can create real world learning opportunities for students, while becoming strategically engaged with NGOs working on important social issues.
I think you might also want to look at the way we're using maps to draw attention to all of the areas within a region where there is high poverty, and a need for tutoring/mentoring. This could be applied to other social sectors as well.

my greetings from Germany. My focus is on Web 2.0 apps in the classroom. Feel free to check some of my sites.
