I worked as a substitute teacher this year and began teaching Chinese enrichment courses. As a result, they are having me begin teaching regular Chinese courses to middle school students next year and I am currently working on designing that curriculum. I am joining this site because I am always on the lookout for new innovations in Chinese education and would particularly love to expand my technological horizons.
Hi Aaron!
Great to 'meet' you. I'm always really glad to find other teachers of Chinese. I'm really interested in integrating much more ICT into my classes and have got a couple of blogs. The one I use with my students at the moment is one I call 'technoChinese' - http://www.technolote.com/chinese
I'm trying to post lessons for the kids so they can work at their own pace.
Will add you to my skype list and maybe we can get our students working together on something at some point. Or I'll teach yours and you can teach mine!
Anyway, as I said, nice to 'meet' you. See ya!
Jess
Aaron - head to wikispaces for a classroom wiki - if you look a little further down on http://wikispaces.com you'll see a spot for ad-free educational wikis. Great way to go. If you need any more help with this, just get in touch.
