Next to my work as a Deputy Head and teacher, I deeply focus on Web 2.0 applications. Additionally, I´m responsable for promoting European Projects like Comenius (Schoolprojects) or eTwinning (electronic partnerships between schools) for Bavaria/Germany. Moreover I´m a "FuturEnergy-Teacher" at the European Schoolnet and be in charge of competitions in Germany, e.g. www.futurenergia.org. At the moment I´m the coordinator of an eTwinning project called DigiSkills: www.e-digiskills.eu. Since September 08 I´m in charge for the EU funded project Web2Class as a coordinator. And I care about trainees from University of Regensburg (Faculty of Geography).
Nice to meet you, Hans!
What a rich page you've got!
Of course I'll join your group. Thanks for asking me.
See you around,
Maria Rosario (but everybody calls me Mary so don't be surprised if I sign like that)
How appropriate that you are my first friend on CR2.0. I spent one wonderful year as a foreign exchange student with AFS in Osnabruck years ago. (I don't dare say how many.) While overseas with my husband (US Air Force, now retired) years ago, my only hope was to make it back to Deutschland. It was not to be. However, our British-born son ( now 15) hopes to follow in my footsteps as a foreign exchange student through his high school German club. Thank you for your kind welcome. I look forward to perusing your very extensive page!
Hey Hans,
Thanks for the welcome. I am looking for ways to enhance the library program by adding digital projects. I had a good time browsing around your site. I spent some time in Germany, too. I lived in Munich for a year around 1990-91. I have many warm memories from that time. Of course that was a long time ago. How time flies.
Hans--I think it is great that teachers have the ability to monitor what they want their students to see. We have so many restrictions on our school computers---our students cannot Blog, email---it makes it difficult to teach 21st century skills
Hi Hans, thanks for adding me to your friends' list. You are a very experienced Web 2.0 user and I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you. I'm also happy to find Sigi among your friends. She's been a good (virtual) friend of mine since we started collaborating in a Leonardo da Vinci project, MOSEP http://www.mosep.org. , some time ago. Will start exploring the website and find my way around in the next few days. Thanks and greetings from Austria, Gerlinde
I'm teaching chemistry online in our KY Virtual University. Chemistry is a challenge to teach in the virtual enviroment. We use virtual labs and simulations to convey principles, but I am very interested in learning about Web 2.0 apps and in all new technologies to enhance learning. I've joined your group, and will be exploring your resources soon.
Hi Hans:
I hope you had a good time. Next time we can meet.
I´m going to read about classroom 2.0. and learn somethings.
Now I´m the headteacher in my school and I had a Comenius in 2005 with a school in Stutgart and I hope next year can have another with Franfurt.
Greetings
I'm going to tell you something that's really funny. I went on Voice Thread.com and I heard your voice commenting on one of the presentations! I recognized your voice and had to laugh at what a small world this is!
Hi Hans,
You have an interesting site, and really nice music. I am an associate professor for a local community college. Our technology is lagging, but I am fascinated with the possibilities.
Hi Hans,
I think you may find this idea interesting.
I am inviting teachers from all over the planet to join and introduce to their students the network for connecting students globally. This is my vision... Please visit: http://kids4kids.ning.com/
You and your students can be the first representatives of Germany!
Please share your thoughts with me!
Hi Hans,
Thanks for your message, you have uploaded a lot of interesting material here! I will be coming back often.
I am Head of the English Department in a bilingual school in Buenos Aires, this year we started a wonderful project: 5th, 7th & 8th formers have Smartboards in their classrooms and they come to school with their tablets (Intel's Classmates) we are all thrilled!
Hi Hans
Was just enjoying reading your two blogs and was wondering if you would be interested in adding your blog details to the new International Edubloggers Directory.
Patricia
Hi Hans
Thanks for the message. It is a small world! I studied at Trinity and am hoping to make a short trip to Munich this year!! You are doing great work with DigiSkills - Make that 325 members :-)
Patricia
Hans! Thank you for welcoming me. The resources you share are tremendous! I'll be joining Groups as soon as I "organize" myself in this forum. Looks like it may take some time! I'd be pleased to add you as a friend!
My late grandfather's relatives immigrated here from Germany, and I also have an aunt from Germany. If you know anyone with the last name "Gunter", then that person might just be a distant relative!
Your work sounds very interesting! I will check out your blog later today! Delete Comment
Hans: I have tons of bookmarks--lots around global issues, sustainability, social justice, socially responsible business. You can visit one of my sites at WiserEarth.org and mostof my wiki articles have links in them.
So, how does one share their bookmarks folder? And by the way, you read my initial message on ning/ed looking for teachers to offer online courses in web applications for the classroom. Got any suggestions of teachers you've come across who might be good for me to chat with?
Hi Hans, thanks for the warm welcome. Loving your page - lucky I'm holidays at the moment so I have time to explore! Even though I've been blogging with my class for about 18 months, I still consider myself a newbie. I'm passionate about embedding Web2 tools into my everyday teaching and learning, so I'm looking forward to being part of this community.
Amanda
Hi Hans - Thank you so much for your welcome! I would be most interested in joining your group - and further exploring your site. I am working on developing web 2.o tools we can use with educators in Arizona - and as we integrate with the tools currently in beta form with PBS in the United States. :) Kim
Thanks for social bookmarking tip. I have designed my own such site for education for disaster risk reduction at: http://www.geo-world.org/edu4drr where it is possible to add bookmarks of sites. Ift is possible to get a tag cloud from the site as well...http://www.geo-world.org/edu4drr/tagcloud.html
Thanks for your warm welcome, the first one I got...I will definitely have a god look around your site, it all looks very interesting so far... thanks Aniya
Guten Tag Hans,
Thanks for the ad and comments. Yes digital teaching is one of my focuses. I have been working on building the worlds largest private and open personal development university. It seem to me unless we can train human to be better humans (life and empowerment skills) were going keep having the human messes and tragedies we continue to have.

Hello Hans - thanks for the invite...Checked out DigiSkills. The eTwinning project seems very exciting. Let me know if you're interested in doing any pilots.
Hi Hans, thanks for the invite, very much appreciated. Tim Savage would you believe was my 1st year Masters lecturer in Technology and Learning here at TCD. Will check out DigiSkills asap, chat soon. David
