I'm a secondary teacher who leads a double life as a late night nerd. I'm addicted to 2.0 applications and I'm always looking for ways to integrate them in my classrooms.
Hi and cheers to you and Australia,
I wrote to you from Germany and my focus is on Web 2.0 apps as to education. Feel free to check some of my sites.
Additionally as to CR 2.0 - I ´ve created the biggest group called DigiSkills with now 379 members - would love if you join.

I am sure we can work something out. We are in the middle of a huge transition right at my school. We are launching an online school next week and we are moving to a new building in late November. Also, three of the four teachers are new!
I would prefer that if we can get something going that it is more casual and not a "lesson." Just the experience of connecting with someone on the other side of the world is a lesson in itself!
My students range in age from 16-18. Let's keep in touch and get something going soon.

Hello Mobbsey and welcome!! I too, am from Australia and have found so much to be inspired from this classroom. Like you I am passionate about web2.0 applications and you will find lots more ways to integrate them into your classroom by keeping a close watch on the discussions, the groups etc.
hey would like to hear your opinions on my website which i use to run my classes, you can also read my blog which has been designed to teach other teachers how to incoroporate web 2.0 tools into their classes, in particular other 1st year teachers like myself www.mrrobbo.com
You seem to be having the same problem as me. When embedding TED talks on my personal webpage, they initially play and it all looks great but after refreshing i am unable to play them nor are any of the students who i asked to watch the video. Let me know if im doing somthing wrong, or try and play ure video from this page and see what happens
I love the idea of tracking a story across different media and looking at how it is massaged depending on the bias of the media. How will your students collect and present their results and conclusions?
Your anecdote about the two different ways you taught The Short Story is interesting. I wish we had more opportunities to give students useful feedback on things like critical thought, ability to articulate opinions etc.
