I am an assistant professor of science education at URI and a former high school physics teacher. I am interested in incorporating online collaborative tools in my classes.
Hi Jay - talk about slow, I just noticed your comment on my Wiki Blog entry today, over a month after you posted it!
I would be happy to share my experiences. Once something starts to happen. Or, indeed, if not.
Hi Jay, Great to see someone working collaborative tools into sci-ed prep programs. I just finished working with a student teacher who had no requirements for such things. He did fine, but it would be great if our soon to be hires were coming prepared to lead students into the 21st century.
Hi-
I teach science methods at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse...and also a former physics teacher. I'm using Ning this semester. Over time, I hope that this Ning turns in to a community of pre-service and in-service teachers sharing and learning with each other. http://teachingscience.ning.com/
I'd like to talk to you about possible collaborations.
Jay-
My classes are going well. Students are starting to post at www.teachingscience20.com and it has been nice to see comments from classroom teachers. I hope things are going well for you-
