For years I have been a school based practitioner. Primarily I was an upper grades elementary level teacher, then became a literacy resource teacher at the elementary level school, a Dean, and then Assistant Principal at a suburban middle school. I left that position to work on my PhD full time which I defended in March 2009. My research was about millennial aged teacher perceptions of working in public schools and how school leaders can encourage them to stay. In the US, teacher retention is such a huge topic and we have to do something! We are losing so many wonderful young teachers.
Currenlty we are living in NZ and I work with library mgt software for schools. We love it here and wished we had moved here sooner!
Hi Hilary, my greetings from Bavaria/Germany! I created the biggest group on CR 2.0 about digital teaching methods with now 265 members. Would love if you decide to join group Digiskills.
