About Me

Hi! I've been an educator of one kind or other since 1977. From 1st grade teacher to working with Gifted students K-12, from teaching education courses at Benedictine College to most recently spending nine years as a 7th grade reading teacher, I have loved it all. I am currently finishing a masters degree in Technology with an emphasis in Library Science and will be working as a Library Media Specialist for the second year at Atchison Middle School. This has been my best ever career change! I enjoy young adult literature and working with middle school age students.

My husband is a professor at BC and I have two children. My son after graduating last year from the Univ. of Missouri, Rolla, is an IT and Programs Specialist for a local company and my daughter just finished her freshman year at NYU.

Besides spending time with my family, reading and more reading, and everything to do with teaching and learning, I love movies. It's been a great summer, too.
