I've been teaching for 15 years the last 10 of which have been as a middle school computer teacher. This year I'm branching out with a program administrator internship with the Ed. Tech Dept. at Evergreen. I have been aware of Web 2.0 applications for several years, but never felt the desire or need to go beyond what I've already been doing in the lab. After stumbling across Classroom 2.0 while doing some research for my internship, I see I've got to get on board.
A quick note about my videos. I have not created any of them. They are just ones that I have found useful.
Hi Patrick, If you don't have Will Richardson's book, Blogs, Wikis, Podcasts, and Other Powerful Tools for Classrooms, you will definitely want to get it. You may also want to drop by the blog being used as part of a book study on the book. BJ
I hear you... I was pretty green as to web2 even last year at this time. The fortunate thing is that with my position as an instructional coach, my principal bought in 100% and I had the benefit of being able to truly dive in and be a point person for our staff. It would be really difficult to have done all that with a full teaching load.
Hi Patrick! Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get Washington students involved. Please let me know. Thanks!
No I don't have one. I won't buy one because I really probably wouldn't use it. If I traveled a lot I would consider it. I'd like to think of a grant idea to get a class set but you'd still have to pay to download books
Hello Patrick,
The company I work for can help you with a custom web-based application to address Evaluating Principals using the ISLCC standards. Le me know if you are interested.

Hi Patrick,
Yes, I think I will once I finish getting my profile completed and get some time to get more familiar with the interface. My RPG Maker games are due this week, so I'm buried alive!

I encourage parents to join the fun. Capitalize on this opportunity to get their kids excited about learning. Embrace the media and teach your children how to be responsible digital citizens in the same way you teach them to behave at family events or with strangers. Encourage your child's teacher to explore online communication and offer your support where they seem to lack confidence. Recognize that a recent report found that 40% of the students surveyed hide their Facebook accounts from their parents. Nancy Willard is the foremost expert on cyber bullying and net safety.

Wow, it looks like a lot of work in a short time! How do you like using a wiki? We've done 5 so far and I have mixed feelings. The first one we did was the best where kids really ended up making connections with each other and the content. You can see that one here at http://thewright3.wikispaces.com
Sir, I've not heard anything from Global Giving that benefits our school. PLz. can u plz try more so that we can get immediate support to check out the drop out rate, as new school year is beginning soon we need immediate support for our school children.

Dear Kutkey, Thank you for posting the needs. I'm really grateful to you. Plz. mail me more info to find out to get support for our school for our lovely innocent children. School year h ere starts in Mid April, I'm afraid there will be high dropout rate. If we could get support (confirmation) from anyone /agency to let the children continue their primary education within this month, they'd not leave the school. I hope there'll be way where there's will.
