I am an 8th grade U. S. History teacher. I also teach Senior Government during summer school. I take students to Washington, D.C. over Spring Break. I have been teaching since before the Bicentennial! LOL

    Monticello is truly breathtaking! You should definitely try to see it. The drive from DC would take 2 hours, so not bad at all for such a historic site.
