Hi there everyone. I learned about Classroom 2.0 during the Florida Educational Technology Conference (FETC) in January of 2008. Therefore, I am a newbie to this site but I hope to meet other educators who are interested in using technology to support struggling students. As you can see from the "About Me" section I work in Assistive Technology. I am also the host of the ATTIPScast (Assistive Technology:Tools In Public Schools). The podcast explores different aspects of assistive technology in public schools and provides tips/ideas for educators on how to use technology to assist students who are struggling to meet their educational goals. Please check it out on iTunes or by clicking on the link to the left. If you have comments, questions, concerns, ideas, heck, maybe you'd like to send me a voice message that I can play on the show. I'd love to hear from you. The best way to reach me is at ATTIPSCAST@g-mail.com.
Thanks so much!
I hope to hear from you!
Chris

Hello everyone!
Episode #28 is now up for your listening pleasure. Episode #28 features a strategy to help students keep their work areas clutter free called the “I’m finished” box. The “I’m finished” box is nothing more than a place to house materials that the student is done using but the episode goes into a bit more detail about how to implement the tool. For more check out the compendium blog at http://attipscast.wordpress.com
Thanks for listening!

Episode #30 is up for your listening pleasure! Episode #30 is the second of a two-part feature on the top three things I learned at the National At-Risk Education Network (NAREN) Conference of 2009. Be warned, this episode is unlike most of the other episodes with more "educational philosophy" than "concrete strategy".
Enjoy!
"Episode #32 : Gift Ideas for Students with Severe Disabilities" is now available. Check it out at http://tinyurl.com/attipscast to hear an audio version of my guest blog post over at Patrick Black's blog Teaching All Students (http://teachingall.blogspot.com). The post outlines a personal family experience while providing a number of ideas for gifts that could be given to students with severe disabilities. It is my hope that educators who find this useful will forward it onto families who will then share it with other family members.
Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country!
That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.
Do you mind passing my message along to students and your HS colleagues again?
