About Me
Hi all,
I am a high school teacher of EFL in Jerusalem,Israel. I have been teaching English here since 1980 and am very keen to use more technology in the classroom and look for new ways of integrating the Web and collaborative teaching into my work .Not really sure how to do it though!

    Good evening

I'm French and i teach history and geography in a middle school.

I'm writing you because i wondered if you are interested by a distant collaboration with my students about education to peace. Maybe you know that french people doesn't know very well the israelo-palestinian conflict, and you know that resurgence of forms of antisemitism in France since Second Intifada worried jewish community... This is the reason why, probably, the french national organization "School to the Cinema", schedules this year the documentary film "Promises". Unfortunately, this wonderful movie was before Intifada, so i need to give us infos about the current situation for Israelians and Palestinians ... And the best way is to join children from Israel and Palestine; like in the movie...

    Ruth,

Of course! Spread it around..... If you get to EFL Classroom 2.0, go to our practice page and there you will find lots more like this, just click and play (in .swf). Doing my best to keep EFL teachers on their toes...

Some things in this presentation are missing but yeah, 95% are there and it works as a good discussion starter and I've had some good feedback from other trainers...

    Salom, more later,

    David

    Ruth,

I WILL get to Israel, for professional as well as personal reasons......unfortunately July isn't possible at all....

If you get a chance, please put the event in our calendar for others in the region at EFL Classroom 2.0. I'll look into if there is any web 2.0 aspect to the conference....

    Cheers,

    David
