Hi, thank's for bringing up this subject. I think bloging could be useful for every student - no matter wich area or nevel studies you are. The positive effects of it, it might depend the way you choose to share content and to whom you want to rich and how you feel about that experience. I would like to share my own experience here about that: I'm studing alternative ways of communication on special needs in a MA course. When I started, my personal resources were low about study matters. When I was adviced to creat a blog and simultanously to reflect about my way of study, I started to creat a new attitude and consciousnly about my potencial and weakness on studies. However that new attitude was not motived on the space of university neither on the course I'm doing but by a Professor outside that space and was initialy oriented. I look back now and see the improvement about the reflections on learning from the experince blog. Before that I wasn't so much aware of the importance of sharing thoughs, ideias along the experience of learning. But none of my collegues, had the same oportunity to be adviced from university teachers about the blogs experience or about the potential of personal learning environments development. So, I'm completly convenced about the great benefits on use of blogs along the learning  experience.

Hi, normaly we don't use the online environments during classes (we should) so, I explore  mostly on my one the blog experience. Some advantages I find: sometimes what we write today might be something we regret later - but then, it's too late and others might have read that and the kind of issue exposed, might be benefict or negative, one day if you share the blog link in a professional network for instance. So, writing in a blog for me, envolves now an increase sence of responsability about what, why and how I'm going to share a content with others. In this same sence, you'll never know what kind of critics or comments you're gone get and how you will you'll be prepare to deal with that.

Hi, I agree with you about the danger of overload work but once the student gets the chance to have the right freedom/control/perception on their own capacities in bloging, I think it can manage better that risk. About the possibilities of plagiarism...well that risk is everywhere, with the Web 2.0 free access resources but anyway, maybe it's not so simple or tempting to some students, depending on the edited subject on a blog or depending on their capability to use and recreat (althoug improprialy) content from other original sources - well, but It's just a  simple opinion anyway :)

Hi, again - I can only talk from my own experience - In my case, I'm not accessed by bloging because simply that oportunity was sugestted to me by someone outside the educational system bounderies . I had until now completly freddom on use the resources or services that better suit my learning interests. Of course some of the dangers I found are: sometimes get to disperse on choosing themes to write, it's impossible to have an idea of the people perfil who read the blog, sometimes find some troubles managing informatic aspects when working the information to share. On the other hand, i think writing on the blog has been positive because I discover that I can share some itens with persons that don't have sometimes oportunitys to be fisicaly present with me and since the begening, I'm trying to envolve persons who might have some kind of limitation/handicap so that online space will as well for them - as a possible way to give then an own voice, means of expression, ways of communication until some of them don't have conditions to creat ttheir own blogs.

Thank you Nagerkamali. You're right there has to be more study in this field. Although bloging, is not really in my research, I have enjoyed talked with you about it and the subject interest me as well other themes. But hope we can be changing opinions, ideas about education or online enviroments. One of my principal interests is based on the Personal learning Enviroment concept, have you got some interest on this field?
