I'm the program coordinator for WIlkes University's M.S. in Instructional Media. I have my degree in elementary education and I'm currently pursuing my MBA with a concentration in marketing.
Much of my interest in education lies in both higher education, specifically teacher education, and also the integration of technology into primary grade levels. Being a digital native myself, I grew up knowing how important it was to have technology in the curriculum and how much more meaningful instruction became because of it.
Does your Instructional Media program offer any sort of Distance Learning option? I've been working on an Instructional Technology program at another university but have been finding it hard to fit it in to my shcedule lately. I've been coinsidering trying to transfer out my credits to a school that offers an online program.
With your interest in Instructional Media and Technology Integration, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Here’s a Public Class on Technology Integration you might be interested in given by Nellie Deutsch.
Hi Karena, I have been tossing the idea around for going for my Masters through Wilkes (after all Jennifer Dorman suggested it over a year ago) and it looks the time might be right.
I just wanted to say hi and perhaps I'll be working w/ you in the near future ;-)
