Here is some of what I have learned about using technology and the habits: whenever you use technology, for whatever purpose, it requires the use of the habits to use the technology successfully and productively. For example, you might be using the technology for purposes of research. In that instance you might want to focus on striving for accuracy (making certain that you are using the proper citations, making certain that you are using a good url). If you are writing up your notes from some research project, you might want to think flexibly--how have the various points of view that you collected work in terms of your synthesis of information? When you are using technology to develop a ppt--are you imagining, creating, and innovating? When you are in art class and you see an incredible collection from a virtual view of a museum collection, are you responding with wonderment and awe? It just seems to me that the habits help to refine the use of technology so that they remind students that using technology is a thoughtful process.
