Thanks for the compliment Jason! I might try PEW Research---they probably have some studies on this (I know they have recent ones on Social Networking and Video Games). You could also try some of the UK studies such as http://www.literacytrust.org.uk/Database/texting.html#positively. I don't know if I am much help.
