Hello Mary, and welcome to classroom2.0 I find your area of teaching intriguing and I love your goals and ambitions. There will be many people here who can help you but it may be better to put up your questions as a discussion to get maximum impact and feedback. What software are you using for the screen capture for video making? I started using jing which was free but have bought camtasia studio as I need a better program. Editing can be done within this program but it was relatively expensive. To edit movies my students and I either use MS Moviemaker (which is free with MS Studio) or Sony Vegas Movie studio which costs. There is an extension toolbar with firefox, I think that can be used to capture the screen.
Mary thank you for responding to my questions. I teach in rurally isolated prep to year12 school and I can sympathize with your comments. However, this site was wonderful, so just follow the discussions, join in when ready, start discussions of your own, make friends and you are no longer alone.
