Hi Harry! Welcome abord. Hope you invite all your colleages out there in Virginia to join us. I am looking forward to some lively discussions once we get everyone together. You can also follow me on twitter at @edtechdhh for more great resources.

Ooops, Harry! You already introduced yourself, and I just mentioned that you should do that in another discussion thread. Sorry =) I was also wondering if you think that English is difficult for individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing because it is text-based - with symbols that often represent phonemes, versus the more visual signing/body language symbols that seem (to me) more fluid and expressive at a word-level (versus a stream of letters)....? Pardon me if this is a naive or ignorant question - I am a hearing person, so may not understand the difficulties with English that students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing may have. Thanks!
