    I hope you enjoy the community! By the way, I'm reading an excellent paper published by the MacArthur Foundation:
    Confronting the Challenges of Participatory Culture: Media Educati...    . They make a very interesting case for media education to address three challenges for students who are deeply engaged online:
    1. the participation gap--unequal access to the experiences that shape life online and in social networks today.
    2. the transparency gap--helping students reflect on what they experience.
    3. the ethics challenge--understanding the public nature of what students create and post online.
