About Me
I am a Primary teacher. Have worked in New Zealand for the last 10 years. and have been in Australia for the last year. I am passionate about teaching and learning. I have been a teacher for 30 years. I am also passionate about changing teacher practice for 21st century learners. I am presently completing my Master of Teaching degree and will continue with my Doctor of Teaching next year.
I have had the opportunity to present at a number of conferences on e-Portfolios for learners in the Primary school and also on Action Research - looking at teacher practice. My present professional development portfolio ids based on E-tools and e-portfolios- supporting, developing and demonstrating reflective, self-directed learning, for life.
I am really looking forward to attending this 'unconference'. I will be participating virtually from NZ.

    Hi Gail,

With your work in 21st Century Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.

You had some questions about Elluminate sessions. I think the time difference is the only limitation you have... Once you've set up you won't really see anything until the session is live. You click in through the session link Steve set up on the Wiki. I hope this helps. One cool thing-- Elluminate lets teachers set up free V-Rooms where three distributed participants (classrooms, teachers, whatever ) can get together. Very handy and as I say, FREE. Do you know Dean Groom? He's one of my favorite Aussies and a great technology leader. Best to you!
