About Me
A technologist and an educator by training, I locate my work at the intersection of technology and education. An alumna of Harvard University (and Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, and BITS Pilani, India), I am currently pursuing a PhD in "Learning Sciences and Technology Design" at Stanford U. I have worked with educational institutions such as Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard Business School and several K-12 schools in India and the US. My current and recently concluded research/professional pursuits include-

* Researcher on an NSF funded project on "Learning in Informal and Formal Environments"
* Involved in a young online education venture
* Working with Google Labs, India, on their educational initiatives
* Creating a Web 2.0 platform for networking educators in India (educatorslog.in)
* Coaching on Harvard University's WIDE World online courses
* Designing curriculum for teacher education programs
* Conducting workshops on educational technologies
* Assisting school management & teachers with technology planning and effective integration
* Conducting digital storytelling and robotics workshops

    Hi Shuchi,

    With you interest in education technology, web apps including Google, and the independence you mainatain as an education technologist, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform, both are web platforms which, I think, match your interest in web apps and platforms and excellent for online learning and collaboration. Also each have feature rich free basic service that seems to work for most people.
