About Me
I have travelled nearly thirty years of education adventures including teaching Senior High School English, Literature, Science, and ICT along the way; holding a variety of roles and responsibilities in management and pastoral care. I have worked in state and private schools and engaged with inner city, regional and metropolitan opportunities.
My journey with ICT began back in the days of the Commodore 64, Mac Classic and Microbee, after a brief altercation with punch card machines earlier in life. My most recent classroom engagements were supplemented utilising the power of an early version of Moodle.
I currently work for the Department of Education and Training here in Perth, Western Australia, as a Senior Curriculum Officer with a statewide project aimed at delivering professional learning for teachers on the integration of ICT into the Curriculum; a wonderful job to be paid for.
I am always interested in what is being discussed and shared across the world in our education field and have a variety of online feeds to encourage my own growth. The concept of the Classroom 2.0 is a reality for me as I share with folk across our state and I investigate how we can add value to what is essentially a great people-based endeavour.... education for life as lifelong learners.
It is good to have found this group and I look forward to continuing part of my adventures here.

    Hi, Phil,
I'm presently researching the use of VLEs and PLEs in schools. - I note your previous dablings with Moodle! - I am well aware of Moodle's impact on FE and HE but what of ordinary Schools - any good examples would help me!
