I teach English in a secondary girls school and have been blogging for nearly two years. My year nine students are blogging at http://jomcleay.com/year9/
Hi... thanks for viewing our book trailers! :) My students are 7th graders. I am putting together a wiki to organize the unit for book trailers. I've just started it, so there isn't much up yet. But you can see the rubric I used for this project if you're interested at http://booktrailer.pbwiki.com/Rubric-I
Hi Jo,
DT is design & technology, so it incorporates food, textiles, graphics and resistent materials (wood work, metal work and plastics & acrylics). I have to say I am more than a little nervous at the idea of being in a workshop with the students, but I'm sure we will all survive! Those of us who are going to teach on this course have all had a few days training, so we have mastered the basics for ourselves, it will be interesting to see how we manage to pass them on.
I'm very excited about the course - it has been a huge amount of work to set it in place and I have worked lots of this holiday doingit, but I really believe the kids will get so much out of it.
