About Me
I am currently the Head of Mathematics at the United Nations International School of Hanoi. I have taught overseas for 12 years now in Bahrain, Germany and Vietnam. My interests lie in the development of a project based curriculum and the reorganization of traditional school groupings in an effort to prepare students for life in the 21st century
Hi Mark -- I'd like to invite you to join a Classroom 2.0 group called Canadians Mashup. I'm trying to build a network of Canadian educators and bloggers. No discussions yet. I'm just starting out by trying to find where everyone lives and what they teach. If you're interested, please add me as a colleague as well.
If you add yourself to the map, please include a name or a photo of some sort. There seem to be a lot of unidentified people from unidentified places and the map is getting stuck on for some reason. The problem is that I can't tell from the members’ list which anonymous hits are real people and which were just false starts. The company does not differentiate members unless there is a picture or a name. Location only is not enough to help me know which entries are not real ones. THANKS!!!!
With your work in 21st Century Education Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Welcome to the Mashup, Mark, but I don't see the banner in your list of groups yet, so I think you have one more step:
Click on Sue Hellman above this message to navigate to my page. Part way down on the left is a Canadian map under My Groups. If you click on that and then look beneath the main banner (right of center) on the group page, you should see + Join this Group. Click and that should do it.
Sorry to be so long responding, but I've been concentrating on writing some new science stuff for my students and am catching up on my greetings today.
