I have been in education since 1996 and have never taught in a classroom without access to at least 6 computers all online. After teaching grades 1, 2, and 3, I worked as a Curriculum Technology Specialist supporting 2 elementary schools. Then for 2 years I was the computer lab teacher teaching and supporting grades PK through 3rd. I am currently the Technology Coach supporting grades 4th through 5th in an all boys school.
You did a very good job highlighting the different types of networking....if some had attended Gail's session on PLN, they would have been aware of what you were showing.
With your work as a Technology Coach, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording you might find of interest.
