I'm the author of Bringing Innovation to School: Empowering Students to Thrive in a Changing World (Solution Tree, 2012) and co-author of Reinventing Project-Based Learning: Your Field Guide to Real-World Projects in the Digital Age (ISTE, 2007). Co-author Jane Krauss and I take a worldwide look at how Web 2.0 tools are reinvigorating the project approach. I contribute frequently to Edutopia and the Stanford Social Innovation Review.
When I'm not writing about education, I develop programs that teach people (from youth to adults) how to be problem-solvers in their own communities. I am a member of the National Faculty of the Buck Institute for Education.
Thanks for your comment! I can't tell you how overwhelmed it is, just beginning PBL. I feel like I am barely treading water... but will definately start contributing to the discussions. Any advice for a PBL novice?
Thanks Suzie! Our school is trying to move toward a more project based learning environment and I love to share good resources with my teachers whenever I can. I've invited them to join the group as well.
