I am an educational technology specialist working in NY. Extremely interested in the educational and social impact of technology in society, I enjoy observing one-to-one implementations around the country and looking at the data that drives their success. As an advocate for child care and educational reform, my belief is that assessment is key when looking at ways to redirect the way students are taught in schools today. I have seen amazing works and talked to amazing people in states other than NY and strive to make connections with people who can help move New York along in the area of assessment and instructional technology. A child of immigrant parents who came to this country legally, I also feel there are great social influences in this country that create additional challenges in the way of instruction. As economic and immigration policy begins to take form I would also like to connect with policy makers interested in studying the effects of education of our "silent" students. "Silent" only because of their lack of voting rights, not silent in their contributions and influences in society.
