Share 'Looking for Suggestions for Virtual Classroom Software'

Hi all, I'm looking for a cheap but reliable solution for conducting virtual classes. The chief requirement is text chat and audio, but other features like a whiteboard, video etc may not hurt. I'm aware of Elluminate (which is not free), and welcome ideas for alternatives. Thanks, Shuchi
