Biodiesel-powered 2000 VW Jetta routinely gets 45-50 mpg, has a 700 mile range and has been a class winner in autocross and hillclimb competitions.
Solar- and wind-powered Ranger pickup gets the equivalent of 92mpg, has a 100 mile range and runs on renewably produced electrcity.
