About Me: I'm a teacher at Hardin Park Elementary School in Watauga County. This is my third year teaching, second year teaching 2nd grade, I taught 5th grade my first year. I enjoy 2nd grade, but I'm trying to enjoy the literature in 2nd. It's really boring and hard for me to find literature that is really exciting and interesting for me and the children. My favorite time of the day is Read Aloud. When I usually choose a book that is about 2 grade levels above their reading level. They LOVE the books I choose, I just wish I could find books that are LOVED by students that I can use for reading groups. I'm also getting my MA at Appalachian State in Instructional Technology. This is my first conversational website I have signed up for having to do this teaching. I hope that it can help and give me ideas!
