Thanks for the response, Jason. I'm pleased to report that I'm getting more teachers, LMS, and IT people contacting me about the Google Historical Voyages and Events site. People are working on some great projects. We even have a project done by a high school student, the youngest historian in New York State. He's doing a Google Map walking tour of his town, and he's linking to the town webpage.

Jason,

I wanted to mention that I saw the list of "favorite" sites for uses of Google Earth that you and Ian posted. You have my site listed on your "History Tour" wiki. Thank you for including the "Google Historical Voyages and Events" project. And, please encourage any of your teachers and students to contact me to include their history projects. If there isn't a topic that fits their project, I'll be happy to add it. It's free; no obligation.
Only 2 requirements: 1) a topic on history 2) use at least one Google tool
We are hearing from schools around the World! We'd love to make this a global project and learn about each other's communities and histories. Haven't had a school in PA yet.

Thank you again,
Carol LaRow

Hey Jason,

Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country!

That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.

Do you mind passing my message along to students and your colleagues again?

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jason!

Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Pennsylvania!

You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
