About Me: I presently teach middle school mathematics and social studies at Grandview Middle School located in Grandview Washington.

I am a returning teacher after working as a Pastor of Baptist Church for 23 years. 30 years ago, I taught high school math for 6 years prior to entering full time church ministeries.

I am married to Vickie. We have been married for 40 years. We have three adult children and 6 grandchildren. My wife has worked as a paraprofessional for 13 years. She is 60 years old and has just received her teaching certification for State of Washington, Special Education.

I have a BA degree in Mathematics, a Masters degree in Biblical studies, and a Masters degree in Secondary education. I am currently working on my National Certification. 2008-2009 is my third complete year after returning to teaching.

My present professional teaching concerns are the issues revolving around teaching mathematics to middle school and high students and the impact of the constructivist approach to teaching and learning mathematics. March 2009.

I am also looking for ways to properly and effectively use power point in the classroom.
