Welcome to the Mashup, Mark, but I don't see the banner in your list of groups yet, so I think you have one more step:

Click on Sue Hellman above this message to navigate to my page. Part way down on the left is a Canadian map under My Groups. If you click on that and then look beneath the main banner (right of center) on the group page, you should see + Join this Group. Click and that should do it.

Sorry to be so long responding, but I've been concentrating on writing some new science stuff for my students and am catching up on my greetings today.

Hi Mark,

With your work in 21st Century Education Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Hi Mark -- I'd like to invite you to join a Classroom 2.0 group called Canadians Mashup. I'm trying to build a network of Canadian educators and bloggers. No discussions yet. I'm just starting out by trying to find where everyone lives and what they teach. If you're interested, please add me as a colleague as well.

If you add yourself to the map, please include a name or a photo of some sort. There seem to be a lot of unidentified people from unidentified places and the map is getting stuck on for some reason. The problem is that I can't tell from the members’ list which anonymous hits are real people and which were just false starts. The company does not differentiate members unless there is a picture or a name. Location only is not enough to help me know which entries are not real ones. THANKS!!!!

Hi Mark,

I've just returned from 3 weeks in China, where I'm setting up some collaborations with Chinese schools on our project-based curriculum at the Center for 21st Century Skills (http://skills21.org). For a sense of what we do with students, take a look at the High School Innovation Exposition we held this past Mat (http://ctcareerchoices.org/challenge/)

This year, we're planning some exciting additions, including a unique 3D virtual classroom for asynchronous and synchronous blended learning, gaming technology from MIT's Media Lab, and a range of schools from Europe, Russia, Brazil, and Asia.

If you'd like to talk about this, give me a call or Skype me at swilmarth. Give my best regards to Heidi and Bena.

Cheers,
